1. Overview
This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which customers of Digiblu Insurance can cancel insurance policies and request refunds. This policy applies to all insurance policies sold through our website and services. Insurance coverage is governed by the underlying insurance providers’ terms and conditions.
2. Free Look Period
For most insurance policies, customers have a Free Look Period of 15-30 days (as per applicable insurance regulations) from the date of policy issuance. During this period:
• You can cancel the policy without any penalties
• A full refund of the premium paid will be issued
• No claims must have been made during this period
• Cancellation request must be submitted in writing
3. Cancellation After Free Look Period
After the Free Look Period expires:
• Cancellation is subject to the underlying insurance provider’s policy terms
• Refunds may be calculated based on proportional unearned premium
• Administrative charges and policy processing fees may be deducted
• If claims have been filed, no refund is applicable
• Processing time: 7-15 business days
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are NOT available in the following circumstances:
• If a claim has been filed or approved during the policy term
• If the policy was cancelled due to non-payment of premium
• If the customer received benefits under the policy
• For service/advisory fees charged by Digiblu Insurance
• If cancellation is initiated by the insurance provider
• For policy modifications or amendments already processed
5. How to Request Cancellation & Refund
To cancel your policy and request a refund:
• Submit a written cancellation request via email or mail
• Include your policy number and reason for cancellation
• Provide your preferred refund payment method
• Include bank account details for direct transfer
6. Refund Processing
Upon approval of your cancellation request:
• We will submit the cancellation request to the insurance provider
• The insurance provider calculates the refundable amount
• Refund is processed within 7-30 business days
• Refunds are credited to your original payment method or bank account
• You will receive confirmation via email
7. Deductions from Refund
The following may be deducted from your refund:
• Premium for the period of coverage provided (proportional)
• Digiblu Insurance brokerage/processing fee
• GST and other applicable taxes
• Administrative charges for policy cancellation
8. Policy Lapse Due to Non-Payment
If your policy lapses due to non-payment of premium:
• No refund is provided for the period without coverage
• You must settle outstanding premiums to reinstate the policy
• Grace period may apply as per insurance provider’s terms
9. Special Circumstances
In special circumstances (death of policyholder, financial hardship, etc.), the insurance provider may offer alternative solutions. Please contact us for assistance.
10. Digiblu Insurance Service Fees
Service fees charged by Digiblu Insurance for advisory, quote generation, or policy assistance are generally NON-REFUNDABLE as these represent services already rendered.

12. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
13. Regulatory Compliance
This policy complies with the Insurance Act, 1938, and regulations set by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). In case of disputes, the applicable insurance provider’s policy terms and IRDAI regulations will prevail.
